3rd Day of Christmas

 Hey! For the 3rd day of Christmas, we are doing a fashion post! This is an easy outfit that can be casual or dressy! In addition to this, there will be a Christmas devotion! Hope you enjoy!

The casual way to wear this outfit is to wear dark blue jeans, a red long sleeve shirt. These were the same jeans and shirt worn in our Where's Waldo Post. Sparkly Toms® (mine were BOBs®), and a Christmassy scarf. My scarf was black with silver striped on it. 

For the dressier look, wear the exact same top combination and shoes. However switch the jeans out with an adorable black pencil skirt. 

This is a perfect Christmas party look that is cute, modest, and festive!

Christmas Devotion: 

{Isaiah 11:1-5} "Out of the stump of David’s family will grow a shoot— yes, a new Branch bearing fruit from the old root. And the Spirit of the lord will rest on him— the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the lord . He will delight in obeying the lord . He will not judge by appearance nor make a decision based on hearsay. He will give justice to the poor and make fair decisions for the exploited. The earth will shake at the force of his word, and one breath from his mouth will destroy the wicked. He will wear righteousness like a belt and truth like an undergarment."

This scripture was written HUNDREDS of years before th  birth of Christ, yet it contains so much wisdom and complete accuracy. It is obvious that it was from God. The "branch" is referring to Jesus and the "old root" is referencing the line of David. It says that Christ would have to spirit of the Lord up in Him, which you can find evidence of in every story throughout the New Testament. I think it is very comforting to know that Jesus will never judge us based on worldly view points and will always be fair. Our God is righteous! This Christmas season, remember to spend time with God and thank Him for the amazing work He has done.

2nd Day of Christmas

Hey guys! For our second day in our 12 Day  of Christmas series we are doing a SUPER cute, crafty DIY. We will be doing TWO Christmas centerpieces that are super cute, festive, inexpensive, and fun! In addition to the centerpieces, we will have a Christmas devotional. Hope you enjoy!

First take a glass bowl of some sort. It can be decorative or plain. Add as many round, ball ornaments as will fit  comfortably in the bowl. If possible, add a variety of colors or textures. Finally, add a simple Christmas wreath around the bowl. Place on a table and its complete!

First take a wicker "plate" or some thing similar. Next, place a glass vase in the center of it. Preferably a wider vase as we are putting things into it. Then, take a festive candle (I chose a silver sparkly one) and set it inside the vase. Finally, add either a simple Christmas wreath or a fake berry wreath like shown in the picture around the vase. You can find these at any craft store during the holidays. Set it on a table and its complete!

Christmas Devotional:

"Maybe Christmas doesn't come from a store, maybe Christmas perhaps means a little bit more." -Grinch (Dr. Seuss)

Dr. Seuss had  lot of hidden meanings in his work. This particular quote is just one example. Our society is so focused on gifts, decorations, and the busyness of the season (none of which are necessarily bad. However when they become a higher priority than Jesus it is.) to pay attention to why we celebrate Christmas in the first place. Jesus's birth is just the beginning of an amazing story! Christmas is more than what comes from a store, it's about Jesus. Never forget the amazing things He has done! Remember, CHRISTmas begins with CHRIST. It's easy to get caught up in the season, make sure to take the time to focus on God and His word this Christmas.

1st Day of Christmas

Hey Guys! For the first day in our 12 Day of Christmas series we will be doing a Christmas card tutorial which is super easy, fun, cute, inexpensive, and are perfect gifts! In addition to the cards, we will have 12 Christmas Prayers. Hope you enjoy!

First take one 8x11 piece of cardstock paper. Fold it in half hamburger style. Open the folded piece of paper and cut in half across the crease. 

Fold each half hamburger style. Write "Merry Christmas" or whatever short phrase you would like on the bottom of the card. Make sure the crease is upwards. (Using a ultra fine point Sharpie®) At the top of the folded half (where the crease is) draw 5 lines of varying length across the top going downward. Draw tiny "bows" or "loops" at the bottom of the lines. Directly below the bows, draw a tiny circle and fill it in.

Pick out 5 buttons for each card. Place a drop of glue directly below the colored circle on the paper or on the button. Place the button directly below the bow and circle or on the drop of glue. Let dry.

Write a message inside the card and give it to someone!

12 Christmas Prayers:

1. FAITH- Father God, it is by Your Grace we have been saved, and through our faith. This is not from ourselves but a gift from you. {Ephesians 2:8-9}

2. HOPE- May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in Hope. {Romans 15:4}

3.  LOVE- Help us to love because  You first loved us. {1 John 4:19}

4. FORGIVENESS- Thank you for being faithful and just in forgiving us our sins an  thus purifying us from all unrighteousness. {1 John 1:9}

5. MERCY- Let us be merciful, just as our Father is merciful. {Luke 3:36}

6. KINDNESS- Let us be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other just as through Jesus, You forgave us.

7. GENEROSITY- Let us be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, and to give the glory and thanks to you Lord! {2 Corinthians 9:11}

8. COMPASSION- Let us live in harmony with one another, be sympathetic and compassionate, love as brothers, and be humble. {1 Peter 3:8}

9. JOY- Let us be joyful in Hope, patient in affliction, and faithful in prayer. {Romans 12:12}

10. SALVATION- Thank you for providing Jesus who is the way, the truth, the life, and only way to you. {John 4:6}

11. OBEDIENCE- Help us not merely listen to your word, and so be deceive ourselves. Help us do what it says.

12. LIFE- Thank you for coming that we may have life, and have it go the full. {John10:10}

Fall Nail Inspiration

Happy Thanksgiving! I hope y'all have a great day! Here is a easy fall nail idea to wear this thanksgiving! 

All I did was paint all my nails brown except for my ring finger. Then I painted it gold. This gives it a more fun and autumnal look. Here are the nail polishes I used: 

Remember as you spend time with family and friends today to be thankful for our amazing God who never fails! 

Psalm 100:4 “Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.”

Treasured

Malachi 3:17- "On the day when I act," says the Lord Almighty, "they will be my treasured possession. I will spare them, just as a father has compassion and spares his son who serves him."

        In this verse, Malachi quotes God. God says, "On the day when I act." This phrase is referring to Christ's coming earth for our salvation. In a way, the previous phrase can be replaced with, "On the day when Christ comes, they will be my treasured possession..." We know that Christ has already come to earth and sacrificed His life for us. Therefore, when we accept Jesus's gift of salvation we become treasured in the eyes of the Lord. Isn't that amazing?! The creator of the universe sees us as treasure and as valuable! Some translations have the word "jewels" in place of treasure.Not only does God view us as treasured, He does this thing I like to call the "Great Exchange" I was at a conference and it was described like this: Jesus took ALL of our sins and in exchange He gave us His perfection! When that happens, we become perfect in God's eyes. We become TREASURED!
        Matthew 6:21 says, "Where your treasure is, your heart will be also." If God considers us His treasure, then His heart is on us. We are where God's heart is! God's love is on us! I think that is amazing! NEVER forget that you are loved by an amazing God.This is always a verse I turn to when I'm questioning my value or worth. For it clearly states that God considers us as TREASURED and that is something we should always rejoice and praise Him for! Walk the Talk

Many people claim to be Christians. However, not many of those people act like it, they don't walk the talk. Now, we are not expected to be perfect. However, we should strive to be like Christ in all we do. How do we do this? By acting on our faith! Many people say, "Well I believe in God. Isn't that enough?" Here comes the hard truth, it's not. This topic is discussed in James 2:14-26. It says that even demons know who God is! That faith without good deeds is dead. Another thing people say is, "God accepts me as I am, so it's ok." Yes, while God does accept you the way you are, He loves you enough not to let you stay the same. While believing God is important, it doesn't end there! You have to change your actions! To fulfill God's plan for each one of our lives we must act upon our faith and and pursue becoming more like Him. Remember, Jesus died for you in public, so don't live for Him in private. Let's begin to "Walk the Talk"

Don’t be afraid! Speak out! Don’t be silent!

Hebrews 13:16 -And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.

This week I took the PSAT. As I'm sure many of you did. However, if you didn't, let me inform you of what happened.       Before the test actually began, you had to fill out about 9,000 pages of information about yourself (totally not exaggerating). One of the boxes asked for your religious preference. There was this super long list of religions, denominations, a space marked "none", and "other". There was also a space marked, "Don't wish to give info" or something like that. That space really made me think. Have we become so ashamed of God and the Bible that even on a test we are afraid to proclaim Jesus? There is a scripture that I turn to whenever I feel like stepping back and hiding. 

.     Acts 18:9 -"One night the Lord spoke to Paul in a vision and told him, “Don’t be afraid! Speak out! Don’t be silent!" This is such a powerful verse that convicts me often. When I feel myself shirking back instead of standing up, I remember that even if people judge you, which they will, even if people hate you, mock you, and turn away the truth, they are not turning away us, they are turning away, judging, hating, or mocking God.       Matthew 10:22 -You will be hated by everyone because of me, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.  This verse clearly tells us that we will not be accepted by everyone. Just the other week people were shot and killed at a college in Oregon from standing up for Christ and saying "Yes, I'm a Christian." You can see in America alone that being a follower of Christ is not a popular choice. However, being Jesus wasn't popular either. In fact, HE WAS KILLED! FOR YOU! Let that sink in. If Jesus Christ would die for you, shouldn't it be a joy to proclaim Him to the world?  Psalms 96:2 -Sing to the LORD; praise his name. Each day proclaim the good news that he saves.  

       Here's another verse that convicts me personally to live a life free of fear and shame. It's a very popular verse that many followers of Jesus have taken as their personal testimony. However, when things happen it's sometimes hard to stand by our convictions. Remember, if you don't stick to your values and beliefs while tested, they are not values or beliefs, they're hobbies. 

Romans 1:16 -For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes—the Jew first and also the Gentile.

Are we an ashamed people? Are we afraid to stand up for Christ? Think about what you just a read over the next week and look for ways in which you can stand up and not be ashamed. Again, never forget the words of Luke in Acts, “Don’t be afraid! Speak out! Don’t be silent!" Thanks for reading! -Maddie 

How to Fight your Battles

Everyone you see is struggling with something. Weather its a relationship, money, friendship, physical/chronic pain, loss of a loved one, self-worth, ect... we all hide our struggles differently. But its all about how you act when you go through them. During times of hardship a lot of people fall into depression. The estimated amount of people who have depression in the world is 350 million. That is a lot of people who struggle with depression. People who have hard times going though trials often feel like they are alone, that no one understand what they are going through.

Well I'm going to tell you a secret.....

you are not alone

there is someone who has felt all of the emotions that you have ever felt in your life

plus everyone else that has ever lived

and he did it all because he loves you

and everyone else in the world

if you were the only person left on the earth, he would come back and pay the price again just for you.

his name is Jesus.

He lived a perfect life. Always serving others and teaching the gospel to everyone he met, if not by words then by actions. He died for me, you, and everyone else who has ever lived. He did it because you and me are imperfect humans. He willingly volunteered to die for the whole world so that we can have eternal life. He bled from every pore, was nailed to a cross, spit upon, and was despised by many.

But he did nothing to deserve it.

But he did it anyways because he loves us.

God only put us though things we can handle. And whenever we fall, he is always there to pick us up. And when we fall short, he still loves us. If he didn't then why would he send someone to suffer so much for us? He is always there 24/7. He will listen. Sometimes it may feel like you are talking to a brick wall. If it does, then talk out loud. If you fight all of you're battles on your knees, then you will ALWAYS come out a stronger, better person.

He is always there. The only question is will you be there?

Don't Follow Your Heart

"Follow your heart" 

We have all heard that phrase many times. We see it all over Pinterest and Instagram; we are constantly surrounded by people telling us to "Follow our heart". If I could only give someone one piece of advice, it would be: "DON'T FOLLOW YOUR HEART!"  Let's look at the first of many scripture verses in this post:  Jeremiah 17:9- "The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?"  Notice it says 'the heart is deceitful'. Our hearts can betray us. Our hearts are emotional, we need wisdom as well.

      As Christians, we shouldn't be following our heart, we should be following the convictions of the Holy Spirit.  1 Chronicles 16:11 says,  “Search for the LORD and for his strength; continually seek him.”

1 Corinthians 6:19 says, “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;”  This is saying that we do not belong to ourselves, therefore we should be following God's heart, not our own. For God has more wisdom than anyone can imagine.     

     Most teenagers hate depending on people. They don't like the idea of not being able to do things themselves (me included!) They want to be independent and make their own decisions. Read this quote by John Bevere, "When we invite the Holy Spirit into our decision making processes, He will ALWAYS bear witness through the peace of Christ Jesus."  While the overall first impression of following our heart sounds okay, it's not. Here's the tough truth: When you follow your own heart, it's saying that your priorities and what you want in life is higher than God's priorities and His will for you. Ouch. That kinda stings, but we often do just that, often without meaning to! Continuing off of that, By following our heart, we are turning against God and living a life self-focused instead of Christ-focused.

     Psalm 37:4 says, “Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.” Now this is not saying that God is a Genie and will grant you any wish you want. No, this verse is saying that if we truly delight in the Lord, what we will want is what God desires and wants for our lives. Remember, God wouldn't withhold something good from your life unless there is something better waiting for you.

     John 16:13 has a great message, “But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.”

When you place your trust in God, the Holy Spirit will guide you and help you with discernment and wisdom. 

     I know this post is getting long and I'm almost done. I feel very strongly on the topic of fully surrendering yourself to God and His wisdom so I want to help others the best I can. William Booth said this, "The greatness of a man's power is in the measure of his surrender." Acts 1:8 says, “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” When we live by the convictions of the Holy Spirit and strive to do the will of God, IT WILL SHOW! Acts 1:8 stated that when we have the Holy Spirit we will be witnesses to the people around us. And as followers of Christ (not our own hearts and desires) being examples and living a life as a testimony to God is something we should all strive to do. Your life is your ministry. How to Get the Most out of your Personal Time with God

"Your real life is your spiritual life. And both are going to be awful until you realize that they are not separate things." - Jordan Taylor 

Hey Guys, many people struggle with having personal devotions and time with God. Here are some tips that I have heard/read that have helped me. -ᗰᗩᗪᗪIE

Make it a priority. The first thing you must do is actually remember to have devotions. The majority of us spend a lot of time on our phones or have them near us often, so set a reminder/alarm on your phone to remind you to spend time with God. 

Find a quiet place. I have a chair in the corner on my bedroom by my window, this is where my time with God is usually spent. I also like going outside on our back porch, however it is summer in Texas so that is not the most ideal location at this point in time.

Turn off all music. This will help you keep the focus on God and it will limit your distractions. If you absolutely can not live without having music on, I would encourage you to play classical music, hymns, or worship songs.

Turn off electronics. This will help keep the focus off the world around us and on God. There are exceptions to this. I like to use the YOUVERSION Bible app. It is completely free for both android and apple. •  http://bible.com/app  •This app has almost every version of the Bible and in many languages. It also has reading plans and devotionals which are very helpful. I have done many of those and they have impacted my walk with God greatly. 

Journal. Starting a journal has been one of the best decisions in my spiritual walk with God. You can write verses or quotes that stood out to you, what they mean to you and how you can apply them to your life. If you are using a reading plan or devotional, you can write down the main points that they provide or that you want to remember. You can also write praises and prayer requests as well as prayers in your journal. Having a journal also lets you go back and review what you have previously learned and see how far you have come spiritually. It doesn't have to be super long, however as you continue journaling your walk with God, it's very hard to stop!

Discuss it with a friend. If you learn something new, or have a verse or quote that stands out to you, share it with a friend! That way more than one person can benefit from your time with God and it is a great way to engage in Godly conversations. 

Use study techniques. This goes along with journaling. There are many different ways to study and get the most out of scripture. One way is using the S.O.A.P. method: 

SCRIPTURE- write out one verse that is meaningful to you.

OBSERVATION- what is interesting in this passage? What did you learn? What is God saying to you through this?

APPLICATION- how can you apply this scripture to your life? 

PRAYER- respond to God in prayer. 

Finally, don't forget to take time just to listen and pray.

What Defines Our Worth?

This is one of my favorite poems. It is by Erin Hanson. Not only is it one of my favorites, it has popped up in my life over 7 times in the past 3 days, between social media and Pinterest. So I concluded that it was a prompt from God to write about this topic. -Maddie

      The big question is "What defines our worth?"  That question is a very very very important question to know the answer to. This poem talks about our worth, how it's not surface level. It says that we need to look within. First lets talk about what our worth is NOT found in. Girls, our worth is not found in what people think of us. Our worth is not found in our appearance. 1 Samuel 16:7b says, “The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”

Our worth is not found in our popularity, or how many followers/friends we have. Our worth is found in God. Only God can give us our worth. NOTHING ELSE CAN. "The number of followers we have does not make you better than anyone else. Hitler had millions, Jesus had 12."

        As girls, we often feel the need to prove our worth to the world. However, this doesn't make one bit of sense. Galatians 1:10 says, “Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.”

We don't need to prove our worth to the world, because the world can not add one ounce of worth to our lives. Our worth can only found in Christ. 

       So when you are feeling looked down upon by others, or feeling worthless, don't feel that way! Why? Because your worth is not defined by human standards.  Your worth is defined by Christ Jesus.

 Always remember this:  

"Your value doesn't decrease based on someone's inability to see your worth."

1 Peter 1:15-16 ~But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.”

Galatians 1:10 ~Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ. 

1 Peter 2:9 ~But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.

Romans 12:1-2 ~Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. 

Now I know that is a lot of scripture to put at the beginning of a blog post, however, I think it is necessary. 

Synonyms of Holiness:

Reserved, set apart, clean, designated, dedicated, devoted.

Opposites of Holiness:

Ordinary, common, unclean, defiled.

Concepts of Holiness: 

Different, stand alone, distinct.

The focus of this is holiness. God calls us to be holy. One thing that basically ever one of those verses mention is to 'not be like the world' to be different. God calls us not to fit in but to be set apart. For girls, being not of the world and being of God means dressing differently (modestly). We want to dress in a way that portrays Christ and draws the attention to Him. However, our character and actions should be different than the people around us as well. Our actions and character should portray Christ and His love. People should be able to see an outward difference of an inward change.

          One way we become different is by obeying God. Now most teenagers run at the word "obey". However, as Christians and followers of Christ it should be a joy to obey the Lord. Obedience makes us different, set apart, holy. We often worry about what other people think about us when we are different and obey Christ and not the worlds expectations. Go back up and read Galatians 1:10 again. It is very important we are striving to please God and not people.

   Now, if you are not clean, if you have screwed up and are living like the world, I have some great news for you: JESUS. There are two kinds of purity. The first type is one of that has never been used, undefiled, clean. The second type is one of that was once dirty, filthy, disgusting, and gross and has been washed completely clean. If you are dirty and not of Christ, you still can be! He will cleanse you and free you from being that way. You just have to ask Him. Once you have been washed clean by God, you are seen as holy in His eyes.

"If you were ever accused of being a Christian, would there be enough evidence to convict you?" 

"Your life as a Christian should make non-believers question their disbelief in God" 

Elisabeth Elliot's Legacy

•••Hey guys! In compensation of missing so much, here is a bonus post. This post is honoring Elisabeth Elliot, who recently passed away. Her story is incredible and I hope you take it to heart. -Maddie •••

Elisabeth Elliot

Elisabeth Howard Elliot, one of the most influential christian women in the past century, was born on December 21, 1926 in Belgium to two missionary parents. Elisabeth and her parents moved to Philadelphia when she was ten months old. By the time she was a young adult, Elisabeth had four brothers and one sister.

      Elisabeth attended Wheaton College, which is where she met her future husband, Jim Elliot. Philip James “Jim” Elliot was born on October 8, 1927 and wanted to become a missionary. Both Jim and Elisabeth went to Ecuador to translate the New Testament and to spread the gospel. 

       In 1953 Jim and Elisabeth became husband and wife while they were in Quito, Ecuador. 

      In January of 1956 when their daughter, Valerie, was only ten months old, Jim Elliot, Nate Saint, Ed McCully, Roger Youderian, and Pete Fleming went to evangelize to a group of people called the “Aucua”. The “Aucua” are now known as the “Huaorani”. After a short friendly interaction with one of the Aucua people, the rest of the Aucua people came out of hiding and speared all the missionaries to death. 

      Even though Elisabeth Elliot endured the pain and sorrow of the death of her husband and close friends she said, “At the time we just felt like God was in the whole thing and there wasn't anything that wasn't in the providence of God.” She also once stated, “I have one desire now: to live a life of reckless abandon for the Lord, putting all my energy and strength into it.” Elisabeth Elliot certainly lived up to that; after going through the death of her husband by the Aucuas, she and the other missionary wives continued to evangelize and talk to the exact same people group because she knew that was what God had called her to do.                .        Elisabeth Elliot and those women showed a tremenous amount of faith by continuing their husbands work. 

Elisabeth did missionary work for many years. 

      After she returned to the United States, Elisabeth began writing books. With over thirty books published, some of her most famous works are: “Passion and Purity”, “Let Me Be a Woman” in which one of her famous quotes “The fact that I'm a woman doesn't make me a different Christian, but the fact that I'm a Christian makes me a different kind of woman” comes from, “Through the Gates of Splendor”, “The Shaping of a Christian Family”, and many more.       Elisabeth Elliot who also became a public speaker, spoke at conventions and churches all over the country. Between the years 1988-2001, Elisabeth was appeared on a daily radio progrm titled, “Gateway to Joy”. She spoke in public, encouraged young women, and counseled new missionaries until her death on June 15, 2015, at the age of 88. Elisabeth lived north of Boston, Massachusetts with her husband, Lars Green. 

       Her quotes, “Don't dig up in doubt what you planted in faith.” and “The heart set to do the Father's will need never fear defeat.” are just a few of countless quotes that have helped many Christians in the past 60 years. Elisabeth Elliot was a strong woman of faith that all Christians can learn from and look up to. The legacy she left behind for all women is one to follow.

If we want to be respected, we must show respect to others. Respecting others, especially to those who don't deserve it, is very difficult and frustrating. However, when we give respect to others, whether or not they deserve it, is shows that we are of good character and have a good heart.  

      Show proper respect to everyone, love the family of believers, fear God, honor the emperor. (1 Peter 2:17 NIV)

       Also, by showing respect to people, tells others that we are not rude, or judgemental. Now, I'm not saying that you have to like what someone is doing or like their life choices to respect them. Respecting someone shows that that person has value, worth, and a purpose. There are many people I don't agree with or honestly like, however, we must remember that all people are children of God; and we must see others through the eyes of the Lord. 

     For who is greater, the one who is at the table or the one who serves? Is it not the one who is at the table? But I am among you as one who serves. (Luke 22:27 NIV)

    In that verse, Jesus served others. Let that sink in, the creator of the universe, Lord of Lords, Lamb of God, washed His disciples feet. He respected them, even though He was higher than them. Jesus respected others. To truly be children of God, we must follow Christ's example by respecting and serving others. ~ⓜⓐⓓⓓⓘⓔ {Proverbs 31:30}

•••Our Purpose•••

So many teens constantly ask themselves "what is my purpose?" The answer is actually very simple. "Waking up with a purpose" is something that is very easy. The purpose of a follower or Christ is to worship God and to glorify Him in ALL that you do Colossians 3:17 says, "And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him." That verse tells us that WHATEVER we do should be done for the Lord. Now while worshipping and glorifying God is our overall purpose, it is our job to seek God and ask for Him to reveal His individualized purpose for you. It might be leading, music, writing...this list is endless. Just remember that EVERYTHING you do can be done to give God praise. -Maddie {Proverbs 31:30}
